Japanese Post-War Reform

japan has seen remarkable economic growth since World fight II. It has integraly embraced its own industrial and technological revolution in the twentieth century but it has not been as successful in engaging social reforms and compare. The explicit peaceful intentions to no longer participate in war, as outlined in their Constitution, have been fully realized. Attempts have been made to sluttish the workforce to women, to give them equal rights, and to provide pay equal to their male counterparts. The basic goal of equality was that women and men would be treated equally in Japanese society but women and men agree that men are quiet favoured in the workforce.
Women now make up 40% of the workforce in Japan.



Many reforms and policies have been implemented in Japan to attempt to give women equal opportunities in education and the workplace. jibe to Dr. Sumiko Iwao, if these policies were successful, it would also change the mens lives and open up their options (Iwao, S. n.d.). In 1999, Japan began compiling a basic conception to implement their Basic Law for a Gender-equal Society reservation it one of the highest priorities for the twenty-first century.
