Godspell
Coming into Godspell I didnt know what to expect. Whether it was a musical, many type of Broadway concert, or just something that the Creighton University just put together. I was actually regretting to come to it, because I had no idea what it was, only for the most part it wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. It made me laugh, and I was actually surprise by how well the constituents singing was.
The thing I wasnt so sure about was why every whizz of the characters dressed as if they were a hippie? I mat like they could put up been dressed in normal clothes, and quiet done the same thing. Nonetheless, its still creative, and it kept me interested. My dependable friend, Veronica Benton, actually invited me it. I believe she played the character Joanne. I must say, Veronica, the guy playing Jesus, and John the Baptist were by far the three that actually caught my eye by not only their singing but from their playacting as well.
In the beginning I felt it started kind of slow, but as it continued you start to get into it, as they tell you the assorted stories with a little comedic side to it. I feel separately character in the play did well, with the part of singing and acting they were bring outn.



I liked how even if someone didnt have a big part in the play, they were still move around, singing their heart out, and smiling as if there was no tomorrow. I didnt see one person give a half-hearted effort when I was there. Usually when I go to school plays, theres always that one girlfriend or guy who looks like they are having the worst sentence in the world up there, because he or she isnt one of the main characters


However the main thing that really had me in awe and wow was the singing that these Creighton students were giving. Besides the acting, and act they were giving, the singing was really good. First thing I verbalise when I heard it was a musical was, Oh boy! This is firing to be long.
