Kristy Ashmore

Suppliesworsted weight cotton, chapstick, F waste, yarn needle, scissors optional- shank book binding button, small piece of dental floss (youll see later), coat split ring, lanyard cut

number 1- chain 2, make 5 sc in first chain, sl at leftover up of round

1

round two- 2 sc in each st nigh, sl at end of round round three- sc in screening curl up only around, do not join at end of round

round 4 and up- sc in each sc around, do not join at end of rounds, expert keep going in a spiral

If you want a button closure, its much easier to crochet it into the body of the bearer than to sew it on later. I add one in the middle of the 10th or 11th row, depending on the size of the button. Wrap length of dental floss around the yarn, moil the ends done the hole and pull the yarn through.

2

Insert the hook in the loop and tighten the yarn.

Pull loop through the loop on your hook.

(make a chain st)

Skip side by side(p) sc then continue around.

3

Continue to sc around until the body length is long enough for the tube of chapstick. If you didnt add a button, you can stop here. Make a small chain loop for a lanyard clip then finish off. If you did add a button, stop about(predicate) halfway to the button then turn and sc back across 5 stitches.

Keep going back and forth until this flap reaches the top of the button.

Chain 5 then grab with sl. Weave in end. Add lanyard hook or key ring.
