In Flannery OConnors A Good Man is Hard To Find, integrity is struck by the foreshadowing events that lead to the unexpected military force at the end of the story. However, as the reader unravels the story you prat see definite signs that foreshadow the ending. The events suggest that something unpleasant was sack to happen in the story.
The story begins with the typical nuclear family universe challenged by the grandmother who doesnt want to take the vacation to Florida, she trys to discourage Bailey from taking the family. She has read about a killer by the name of the Misfit who is on the run heading for Florida. Every piece of the family except for the little girl, June Star, who can read the grandmother thoughts and actions, ignores the grandmother.
The concomitant that she admonishes Bailey, her son, of this Misfit and what he did to those people (238) foreshadows what will happen to them and shows the probability that the fly convict and the family will collide. As readers, we know that OConnor will not mention such an interesting fact without having it effect the characters posterior on in the story.
