To me a hero is someone that is always there to help, no count what they entertain to do. In the real world diverse individuals contain different descriptions of what they consider heroism and how it functions in our community today. A large amount of people see heroism by and large as helping people. Even in fiction books characters have the qualities of being a hero and shows how heroism functions. In any stereotypical hero book the hero go ons the day and captures the despicable villains, helping the citizens in society. An example that would fit the definition of a hero is Mulan, a young girl that sacrifices her life to save her father from going to war. Like many people, I have my own personal opinion how heroism functions. I believe that helping others is a function of heroism. Also I believe heroes should rather happen their own life than others. Heroes should exist the right from wrong, the hot and bad, and likes to charge risks. Like Odysseus from the odyssey, he took the risk to meeting the Cyclops hoping to be friends. Odysseus also knew not to take many people in case something went wrong. Odysseus is a good example of how heroism functions.
