On the other hand, the patient should also be able to follow all the instructions in regard to using the prescribed medication. Failure to follow these instructions might cause the patient to continue suffering from health problems.

Prolonged health problems can also result to death of the patient. The final stage in the nursing process involves the correct disposal of all the medical items used in treatment.
