In the United States of America, Separation of Powers and Checks and Balances work submit in hand. The term Separation of Powers was created by an 18th deoxycytidine monophosphate French social and political philosopher by the name of world male monarch de Montesquieu. When dealing with the actual separation of powers the framers decided to base our US judicatureal system on one-thirdsome branches including: executive, judicial, and legislative. In these three branches is where checks and balances play a role.
The main function of Separation of Powers is to do just that, separate powers. The responsibilities of the Government are divided into the three branches in order to prevent one branch from having inviolate power and in turn abusing that power. The basic idea if Separation of Powers is that each branch has its own areas of authority and its own roles. For instance, the legislative branch has the power of appropriating the money necessary to operate the disposal while the executive branch is responsible for implementing and administering the public indemnity enacted and funded by the legislative branch
The idea of checks and balances, like separation of powers, lies in its title. Each branch has the power to check and balance the actions of the early(a) two branches.
This system was also put in aspire to insure that not one branch received besides much power. One example of checks and balances is that the legislative branch has the power to impeach the president. They also have the power to override a presidential veto. Separation of Powers and Checks and Balances is a vital system that our government has in effect. If it was not for these two systems who know what confusion and plague of power we would be facing.
