Cause and effect atomic number 18 a part of eitherday life, and generally accepted as such. However, people dont think about every choice they make or what will be the conduct of their judgments. Some people go about their existence devising decisions based on their judgings, background, mood, and convictions, without ever considering the influence their decisions will hasten on others. Often times, people can change those near them very easily by exhibiting confidence in their actions and speech, as is the case in Sophocles Antigone. Antigones actions regarding Creons worldly laws in the end have an effect on Ismene, Haimon, and Creon. Antigones defiance of Creons decree first influences Ismene by altering her original opinion towards Creon. When asking for Ismenes assistance in the burial of Polyneices, Antigone states, And right off you can prove what you are: A true sister, or a traitor to your family.(Prologue ll. 26-27) Antigone is uncoerced to die for her brothers honor and believes his honor to be more important than her mortal life.
Antigone considers Ismene a traitor because she is not supporting their family with her refusal to help. Although Ismene supports Antigones idea, Ismene expresses her sign reluctance towards burying her brother, which has a deathly consequence. Ismene shows the reader that she is willing to save her own self, which is contrary to the ideas of Antigone. Antigone is not able to incite her sister, Ismene, that their brothers honor is at stake, which will be contested by remaining unburied. Antigones accusations towards Ismene causes the family to separate. Ismenes reluctance to aid her sister with her brothers burying shows an absence seizure of self-sacrifice to the reader. If you want to get a full essay, parliamentary procedure it on our website: Ordercustompaper.com
