"Vengeance is mine, Sayeth the Lord". "In The Bedroom"

The doctor and his married woman ar devastated by the lack of punishment. They try in vain to move the prosecutor to file first degree murder charges. The infantile wife is now pop out of the picture. The parents of the dead boy pauperism nonhing to do with her. They feel she is partly answerable.

Now the kind amongst doctor and his wife change. She cannot draw over the tragedy. It festers. She be educes colored and distant. She feels her husband is trying to put it all behind him. Of course, he is not. He tries to find some way top crop the case back before a judge. He fails. And so, in his desire to take vengeance, he accosts the murderer. He forces him, at gunpoint, to get into his car. The doctor shoots and kills his password's murderer, and buries him in the woods nears his friend's cabin. When he returns home, his wife asks if it is over. She gets out of bed as the doctor tries to go to sleep and view a normal life. She asks if he wants some coffee. There the use up ends, but one now wonders how this principled doctor and his wife will manage to live together in both sort of peace.

In thinking almost the personal conflicts on this film, I have to ask myself several questions: Was the relationship amidst the doctor and his wife so stagnant that it was just a sham? Would they have continued to drift apart, even if their son had not been kill

Would the affair between son and young wife have lasted? Other than sexually, were they matched?

The story is about avenge, of course. But, it is also about how money talks. This I have written before. But, would the murder have happened if the abusive " mysterious" boy didn't feel confident he could get out with it? Would that slimy prosecutor have done more to rent if the acc utilise had been a fisherman?

Do we agree that revenge had to be taken, that it was in the personality of the Doctor not to let things rest?

I wonder if the story is really about transformation. It is about refusal to accept a needless loss. It is about devil individuals who have lost touch with one another in terms of intimacy now being forced to interference together.

Revenge has tied them together, as if there were an unbreakable apparel there. However, I need to go back and wonder if there was any transformation in the young wife and her children? What are her feelings? What do the children know? How does the town react to her, when she walks down the driveway now? Do people blame her, and hold her responsible? The fact that this movie has already won a plentifulness of awards does not make it a complete story. There is so much leave blank. And, so I have come up with some more questions that the film left unreciprocated for me:

What if the doctor had said- I am trained to save lives, not to take them. Would his wife have done the killing, and then left him, or surrendered to the police?

Let's talk about the idea of " go out" for a moment. Because it really is the underlying subject in this movie. from each one of the major characters is somehow involved- positively or negatively- in domineering their lives and the lives of others. First, the parents: as I said above, their physical affection seems to be little or nothing. Yet, they sleep in the same bed. But, they faculty as well be in separate bedrooms. It has have a "custom" not a commitment. They have gotten used to it, and somehow aren't abo
