I mean that she wrote this book describing her life as a child, but non directly stating that the book was a biography. The characters in this novel argon almost identical to the heap in her life. For example she didnt commit a mother only a begetter, in the novel, and she only had a father in her actual life. First, I am going to talk about how Maycomb is similar to Monreoville. They are both in Alabama, and about the same place as the novel describe it. Both towns were itty-bitty quite towns with very few people. These towns also struggled with racism, almost like whites against glowerings. These towns were also both not so rich, many didnt even have jobs. The towns were mostly made up of middle-lower class people, and most were antiblack white people. These rural areas had long been poor and undeveloped.



Black people worked for low wages in the fields. White farmers were more apparent to own land, but they were cash poor.
Harper Lee and Scouts life are very similar. Harper Lee and Scout Finch both grew up in a small town in Alabama in the 1930s. Scout also had a friend from Mississippi that came there every summer. It neer says much about him, just that he was very small and funny. They also shared many personality traits such as tom boyishness and the love of reading. Harper Lees father and Scouts father were both attorneys that defended a black man. Scout and Harper Lee also had a live that committed crimes and stayed inside all day.
