Origins of Cold War

The cold contend was one of the most affecting and snappy points of history. During the terminus from 1945 to 1950 was when a major threat of collectivism came upon the America. American had no idea how to react or what to even do. This was a level of scared confused angry Americans who wanted to do so much but could only do so little. The threat of communism affected the US in a itinerary they never saw coming. The main major way the threat of communism affected the US during the cold struggle was by causing freight to majority of the US. Many Americans began to tending communism and the threat it caused against the American republic and society. Children were expected to duck and cover under desks or in basements during these drills, supposedly being protected from an atomic bomb that vaporizes everything. These shelters were used to protect Americans from nuclear war and bombs and fall outs.

Even though fear was probably the biggest bewilder of an American during the cold war, many Americans had an emotion of anger towards the soviets. As shown in document 1, the soviets viewed America as greedy and wrong so in result they wanted to support communism and turn people against America and they also started to take countries. on the face of it this brought major anger to the Americans as it would to anyone who was faced with such disrespect. For Americans the period from 1945 to 1950 was not a time wanted to be remembered. passion and fear was running through every American human being.
